The Rance Estuary is beautiful. A wide expanse of blue banked by green rolling hills and tiny Breton fishing villages. Learning to sail here is a pleasure and kayak and canoeing is very popular.

The 'Centre Nautique de Rance Frémur' offer sailing lessons to children (in optimists), adolescents (vibes) or adults in either their flying fifteens or catamarans.

Safety First:

The sailing school at Plouer sur Rance is a member of the Federation Francaise de Voile. Their staff are fully qualified instructors and they have security boats with monitors in the water at all times. Before hiring a boat or taking lessons it is essential to be able to swim.

Boat Trips:

Discover the Rance Valley by sailing on board the club's Goelette or by kayak or canoe. The local environment is natural and historical. You may even get to see one of the seals that live in the estuary and enjoying playing with the boats.

The sailing club at Plouer sur Rance can also organise days out further afield such as the Emerald Coast, Cote de Guelo, Brehat or even the Golfe du Morbihan.

Sailing Lessons:

Start from scratch or perfect your sailing skills by choosing a formula adapted to you. Week long courses in the mornings or afternoons, week-ends only or private lessons.

The sailing club has 'optimists' for the children under 12 and Toppers for adolescents to learn in. Adults can make use of the Catamaran , flying fifteen's or the standard sailing dinghies.
